THE Y LABEL | Saturn Return 2017

The planet Saturn takes 29.5 years to orbit around the Sun. The astrological Saturn Return is a time when planet Saturn returns to the same place in the sky that it occupied at the time of a person's birth. The first Saturn Return takes place in the late twenties, and its effect can be felt into the early thirties. It is a right of passage, a wake-up call, a time when a person is faced with sobering realities and is being asked to grow up.

The Y Label's new collection, Saturn Return 2017, is inspired by this very first soulful transition towards adulthood. Staying true to the brand's original style, the new collection offers a new take on The Y Label's signature choice of fabrics. From monochromatic stripes and plaids to more intricate jacquard and songket patterns, each shirt presents a fresh new look and a commitment to quality that the brand is originally known for.

For the spring/summer 2017 campaign, The Y Label is enlisting model Théo Laurençon, photographer Zaky Akbar and stylist Dinta Jakile. Shot in Jakarta inside a property with modern minimalist architecture, the campaign showcases the shirts from the collection in different styles from smart-casual office looks with belts and bags by Verne Indonesia, to more formal attires perfect for after-office-hour events or impromptu gatherings.

Saturn Return 2017 marks The Y Label's return to its classic roots of combining traditional Indonesian materials with modern tailoring, giving them an artful blend of classic and contemporary elegance.
